Excitement is building for our CanSat final 2024.

Teams across Ireland have been challenged to fit the key components of a satellite in the volume of a soft drink can.

On Thursday 2nd May our regional finalists will have their CanSats put to their final test,  aiming to complete 2 missions during throughout a rocket launch!

Winners to be announced Friday 3rd May.

EIRSAT-1, Ireland’s first satellite has been built by a team of students from University College Dublin and is officially in orbit!

The live launch broadcast of Ireland’s first satellite will be available to watch on ESA Web TV Channel 2 or ESA YouTube, currently scheduled for Friday 1 December starting at 17:45 GMT.

Science Foundation Ireland is bringing you two jam-packed shows perfect for your primary class this Science Week 2023, hosted by Mary-Claire (MC), Gráinne Bleasdale and Phil Smyth. This will be a free 40-minute live-streamed event available on YouTube and there will be an ISL interpreter for every show.
